Motorcycle Toyrun @ Greenstone – What a Spectacle! Date:Sun, 30th Nov 2008
Nearly twenty Thousand bikers from all over the east Rand gathered in spectacular fashion with event supporters, their friends and families for the 26th Motorcycle Toyrun on Sunday, 30 November with Greenstone as its eastern starting point. They came from 6am with all their toys strapped onto every make and size of motorcycle to give their amazing support for this fundraising event, showing once again that on top of those lean machines were people with the biggest hearts caring enough to contribute to society’s less fortunate.
Four big boxes of toys were handed over to the organizers from the centre and a number of tenants opened their doors at this early hour to make sure the bikers had everything they needed before heading to the Nasrec Expo Centre where a jam-packed day of fun-filled activities awaited the bikers from all four corners of Gauteng.
Greenstone Management is certainly proud to have been part of this event and thanks the Morcycle Toyrun Organisers for the opportunity and everyone who generously donated gifts and time to make this the spectacular success it was. We look forward to welcoming the bikers back to the centre again next year.

September 23 saw The Sunflower Fund teaming up with Pick ‘n Pay in hosting National Bandana Day, to raise funds in support of South Africa’s leukemia patients who are in desperate need of bone marrow stem cell transplants. A few of SA’s well known personalities came out to help raise funds in support of this worthy cause through the sale of bandanas. National Bandana Day aims to raise the profile and the morale of cancer patients as well as the funds urgently needed for tissue typing more donors. The organization is currently making a concerted effort to recruit more donors from various ethnic groups and more men to counter-act the shortage experienced on their registry of donors.

Meet Kung Fu Panda Date:Fri, 13th Jun 2008
Get up close and personal with Po, the coolest panda in town.
The animated movie Kung Fu Panda is being released at Ster-Kinekor Theatres on 27 June 2008 and to give audiences a taste of what to expect, the lead character, Po will be making guest appearances at Ster-Kinekor Theatres over the next few weeks.
This hotly anticipated DreamWorks SKG film features the voice of funny man Jack Black as Po, a cute, plump and rather lazy panda bear who dreams of becoming a kung fu master while working in his family’s noodle shop in China.
But when he is chosen to fulfil an ancient prophesy, Po’s dreams become reality and he finds himself studying kung fu alongside his idols, and being called upon to step up to the plate and show his mettle. This adventure-packed movie also features the voices of Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Dustin Hoffman and Lucy Liu.
To celebrate the upcoming release of Kung Fu Panda, which promises to be the animation sensation of the year, Ster-Kinekor Theatres are taking the adorable costume character Po on tour to meet his soon-to-be fans.
