Join Greenstone’s World Cup Kick Off parade on Friday, 11th of June, at 12 noon and be part of the soccer fever. Starting on the 10th of June till the Sunday, 11 July Greenstone has an action packed line up to keep the Kids warm and entertained this school holiday. The variety of entertainment will include soccer themed activities, fun-filled creative workshops by Herbert Evans, daily book readings at Books Galore, games such as Disney Treasure Hunt, High School Musical and Ben 10 shoot out tables with fun prizes up for grabs, a Gladiator jumping castle, movie corner etc for younger kids. Teens can look forward to some serious fun with our Quarto bungy, an X-box 360 zone as well as other fun games and a Lan Party for gaming enthusiasts to challenge each other. A detailed programme is available from our Info kiosk in front of Ster Kinekor so you don’t miss out on any of the action.
- Soccer Week, 10-20 June: Bring the kids for lots of soccer action with cool activities such as dribble darby, soccer sku, aim & score as well as soccer workshops where the kids will get their face painted and get to make soccer hats and hanging soccer balls among other fun things at our Ster Kinekor & Truworths Court.
- Gaming Week, 21-27 June: Come to our Gaming lounge and enjoy an Xbox 360 Zone, a LAN party with all the latest cool stuff for the gaming enthusiasts from 25-27 June, 9am till 8pm.
- Arts & Crafts Week, 28 June -2 July at Herbert Evans: Kids from 7 to 12 years old are invited to their creative workshops which will be running (at R50 per workshop, per child) from 10-11am, 1-2pm, 3-4pm in that week. Books Galore will also be hosting daily book readings from 2:30 -3:30 during this week at no cost.
- Fun fair for little ones at Ster Kinekor Court, 28 June -2 July for fun games such as Disney Treasure Hunt, High School Musical baskets, Hanna Montana Stars and Ben 10 shoot out tables with fun prizes up for grabs from 9am till 5pm. A small fee of R3 per game will be charged to play.

Greenstone Shopping Centre invites you to take part in the CANSA Shavathon 2010 being held on 6 March in over 200 workplaces and 137 shopping centres across the country. With the generous support of all South Africans, CANSA Shavathon 2009 set a benchmark that will be tough to beat! This year Greenstone and its tenants are pulling out all the stops to make it an even more exciting Shavathon yet by creating a fun day for the whole family to enjoy. There will be entertaining activities as well as spot prizes and other give-aways from the centre to be won by participants on the day.
Come to the Ster Kinekor Court from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, 6th March and show your support in the fight against cancer. Colour-Spray or shave your head for a R50 donation or R25 for children under 12. These funds go towards CANSA’s wide reaching prevention programmes and patient care services in the region where the event takes place.

Catch all the action of the Challenge the Challenged Celebrity wheelchair race on Sunday 6 Dec, 10am -3pm at Entrance 2, Garden Court. Join the fun and cheer for your favourite celebrity as they take part in the race raise funds and awareness for people living with disability. This promises to be a fun-filled day for the whole family to enjoy and learn at the same time.
To mark the International Day for the Physically Disabled celebrated on 3rd December, Greenstone Shopping Centre will be hosting a celebrity wheelchair race on Sunday, the 6th of December, in partnership with Rotary International and Gauteng Provincial Association for People with Disability.
You too can help us provide wheelchairs for those in need by pledging your donation on the day, or bring your used ink cartridges - 5 of these can help provide a wheelchair. There will be displays from member organizations showcasing various skills and crafts such as bead-making, with Edenvale’s Sindy Rebelo showcasing her paintings as part of the exhibitions of hand painting, foot and mouth painting on the day. The kids will also enjoy face painting and balloon sculpting for a small donation.

The ball is a large non-toxic, tasteless and colourless ball which you step into. Air is pumped into the ball, it is zipped up, placed on the water in the swimming pool and you walk on the ball, rolling it across the water. A fee of R30 per child will be charged for the Bubble ride.
PNA Campaign To Give Sight To The Disadvantaged Date:Sat, 30th May 2009
PNA in partnership with Vision in Sight Trust, will run an in-tore campaign within 48 PNA stores countrywide, encompassing 2 key elements, eye care awareness and fundraising. PNA has officially ‘adopted’ Vision in Sight Trust as their charity of choice and eye care as their cause of choice, starting 6 May 2009.
R1 of each flagged product sold in collaboration with 5 participating suppliers, HP, Jetstream (Uniball Signo 207), Pritt, Fiskars (Scrapbook Adhesives), GBC ( Rexel, Kangaro), Bantex,, will be donated to The Vision in Sight Trust. In order to incentivize sales of the selected products, customers will receive a branded fridge magnet at point of sale. Customers are also invited to join the campaign by SMS’ing “sight to 38208” to donate R10 towards Vision in Trust’s goal of raising R200 000 to help disadvantaged communities with eyecare needs.
The campaign launch is set to take place at Greenstone’s Ster Kinekor Court on Saturday, 30th May with an exciting programme that will see some of SA’s well known personalities put their weight behind this worthy cause.
