The Red Bin Brigade will present a Spring fashion and talent Show on Saturday, 11 September at the Entrance 3 parking as part of a fundraiser for Klopper Park primary School. Fashion from stores such as Glitz, The Hub, Lizzy’s, Kapow will be showcased with entertainment provided by young talent from Edenvale on the day. Kids and parents with an interest in the wonders of science are invited to this event taking place at Ster Kinekor Court From Friday, 17th September to Sunday 19th September. Aimed at Junior Einsteins between 5 and 14 years old, the Science Fair will have lots for all inquisitive minds to share and kids will even get a chance to try doing some of the exciting experiments themselves. There will be bubbles, smoke and even an explosion or two. Don’t miss it!!
Greenstone Shopping Centre will be hosting the Wheelchair Challenged on Sunday, 3 October in partnership with Edenvale Rotary, GPAPD (Gauteng Provincial Association for Persons with Disabilities), the Green Office & Green Able Trust, and the SASAPD (SA Sports Association for Physically Disabled). The day will take the form of several wheelchair races through the centre -first a celebrity wheelchair race followed by company relays to create awareness for the everyday difficulties encountered by persons in a wheelchair when visiting a shopping centre. This event aims bring awareness to the broader attitudes and prejudices/perceptions held about disability in society.
